What is Pay-Per-View?

Many are not aware of PPV as with PPC. Though PPV have been doing the rounds some time People have started taking note of it only recently. PPV could be the source for traffic in the near future. It is a untapped potential in the internet.

PPV is pay per view. PPV is different from CPM (Cost Per Thousand Impression ) advertising. PPV means every time your landing page is viewed by somebody you should pay. No clicking is necessary to view your landing page as it as it will pop up automatically. So it is also different from PPC.

PPV Ad work with Adware. When the user starts his search or go to a URL , immediately the browser opens up with your landing page. Every time the user view your landing page, you are charged.

Now let us see what the PPV has to do with advertising. The working of PPV is very similar to that of Ad words . You can either bid on the key word or your destination URL. For instance,If you are bidding on the word "Tennis Shoes", A new illustration of their browser opens up when the user searches for "Tennis Shoes" and your landing page, will be displayed on the same window they use for their search. If interested the user may continue or they may quit .

PPV does cost you the earth, It is quite affordable . It may come around .01 or .02 cents per view .

PPV Ad style is quite intruding. As I have mentioned earlier PPV is different from PPC or CPM. The purpose or the aim of the user, seeing your Ad could differ from that of a user clicking PPC Ads . You can even limit the frequency for seeing your Ad by the same person, again and again. This will eventually save you the cost.

As this is a relatively a new subject, You need to do a lot of digging to come up with more information. So it is advisable to do some research on it before going further.
